What Are the Scams in Relation to Erectile Dysfunction?

30 October 2009 117 views No Comment

We all know that there are scams all over the world and for many different things scammers are always coming up with new ways to con us out of money. For men that suffer from erectile dysfunction, just talking about their condition can be very difficult and embarrassing. Once they have realized they have a medical problem, they often want to find an effective treatment quickly and easily. However, due to the large numbers of scams that are being created, this can be very difficult to do for some men.

Proven Treatments

Before we look at the scams and things that do not work, let’s focus on the proven treatments for erectile dysfunction. There are three medications on the market today that are used to effectively treat erectile dysfunction in most men. The only time that these treatments will not work is if there is a significant underlying medical cause for the erectile dysfunction.

Levitra, Cialis, and Viagra have all been tried and tested. They have been proven effective at treating a large majority of cases of erectile dysfunction. However, before beginning these medications, it is important to talk with your doctor. If there is an underlying medical cause for your problem, this will need to be addressed and treated before the erectile dysfunction can be dealt with.

Surgery is a treatment method that works for some men suffering from erectile dysfunction. This is due to the fact that they have had a trauma or serious injury to their penis or pelvic area that has restricted or stopped blood flow. Surgery is performed to correct this blockage and allow the blood to flow freely again. If the cause of your erectile dysfunction is related to problems with proper blood flow, then surgery could be a very effective treatment option.

Male Enhancement Pills? A Hoax?

Some of the scams on the market today include male enhancement pills. While it is true that these pills can help with erections and increase size, most claim that results will be immediate. This is not true and is not possible. There is nothing that is going to immediately cure erectile dysfunction or enlarge your penis. Even the medications that are recognized by the medical community do not offer immediate results. No matter which treatment method you utilize, it is going to take time to see results.

Penis Pumps

Penis pumps are another method that is ineffective. They often cause more pain and problem than anything else. Pumps are also normally very expensive. There is nothing worse than spending a large amount of money on a product that will not work. Penis pumps are meant to act like a vacuum to make the penis erect. However, they are ineffective at doing this. Even if an erection is obtained through the use of a penis pump, as soon as the pump is removed, the erection is normally lost. This leads to a great deal of frustration and feelings of failure.

If you suffer from erectile dysfunction, the best way to get appropriate treatment is to talk with your doctor. They can tell you what treatment methods will work best for you. Avoid spending a lot of money on treatments that are not going to work and where you will essentially just be throwing your money away. It is much better to find a treatment that works well.
